Product Description

Why choose it: Melauro's most identity-defining product. A complex herbal amaro where honey adds depth to a bouquet of 10 ingredients — thistle, bitter orange, wild fennel, liquorice, bay, cinnamon, propolis. Family recipe, 40% ABV, no compromise on quality.

Aromatic profile: Dark amber colour with mahogany reflections. On the nose complex and layered: herbal notes of thistle and bay, citrus of bitter orange, sweet of honey, spicy of cinnamon, with the unmistakable resinous touch of propolis in the background. In the mouth bitterness arrives powerfully but balanced by honey, the finish is long, warm, balsamic.

How to drink it: Classic: room temperature in a lowball glass, after an important meal. Large ice cube and orange zest: the summer after-dinner version. In a reverse Negroni instead of Campari for a more aromatic, less sweet version. On dark chocolate ice cream: a Michelin-starred experience.

Ingredients: Water, *pure hydrated alcohol, *cane sugar, *thistle, *bitter orange peels, *wild fennel, *honey, *liquorice, *bay, *cinnamon, *propolis. (*organic) 40% ABV.

Organic certification: Controlled operator No. D58G — Control body IT BIO 006. Exclusive Melauro recipe — not replicable.

Storage: In a cool, dry place, away from light. Once opened keep refrigerated. Drink responsibly: contains alcohol.

“Ottimo dopo cena, soprattutto se si è esagerato un po' a tavola. Digeribile e profumato.”

“Beautifully balanced — bitter herbs softened by genuine honey. Unlike anything else I've tried.”

“L'amaro au miel est une révélation. Doux, herbacé, parfait pour les non-amateurs d'amers très secs.”

“Aromatisch und ungewöhnlich. Etwas süßer als ein klassischer italienischer Amaro, aber sehr trinkbar.”
