Sicilian Chestnut Honey
Product Description
Why choose it: From the mountain chestnut woods comes the boldest of Sicilian honeys: dark, intense, pleasantly bittersweet. A connoisseur's honey, perfect with cheese and able to win over even people who think they don't like honey.
Taste: Intense, tannic and bittersweet, with notes of wood and dried fruit. Very dark amber, almost brown; stays liquid for a long time.
Perfect pairing: With blue and aged cheeses, on roast meats and game, over fior di latte ice cream or ricotta, to balance very sugary desserts.
Ingredients: Chestnut blossom honey. Origin: Sicily.
Sizes: 100 g, 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg jars.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Crystallisation is a natural process and does not affect quality: to make it runny again, warm in a water bath at no more than 40 °C. Not suitable for infants under 12 months.
