Pistho's Sicilian honey comes from hives across the island, where citrus groves, Mediterranean scrub and mountain woods in flower give honeys that differ in colour and scent. Every harvest tells of a flowering and a season, so each product page says which blossom the honey comes from and when the bees gather it.

From the gentlest honey to the boldest

Lemon blossom honey, pale and fresh, is the one for your everyday tea; orange blossom honey carries the scent of zagara, the Sicilian orange flower; wildflower honey changes character with the season and is the honey to keep at home. If you like strong flavours, there are eucalyptus honey, balsamic with notes of caramel, and chestnut honey, dark and slightly bitter, made for cheese.

Sizes

Pisthò-branded honeys come in 100 g, 250 g and 500 g jars and in a 1 kg tub: the small one to try it, the large one for everyday cooking. Crystallisation is natural and does not affect quality: to make the honey runny again, warm it in a bain-marie at no more than 40 °C.

  • At breakfast, in yoghurt or on bread
  • In tea and herbal infusions, added once the cup is lukewarm
  • On the cheese board, from fresh primosale to mature pecorino

Honey is not suitable for children under 12 months.
